Background
Foster mum and baker
Why you wanted to be a part of FoU
Once I saw firsthand how kids and young teens are entering foster care with just the clothes on their backs I knew something had to be done . We are apart of such a amazing and generous community and I knew so many would love the opportunity to jump on board and also to make a difference in their lives and let them know they are not alone .
A unique story you can share about foster care
Being a foster mum has changed my life completely . One of the stories I have is when we had to be apart of a family meeting for one of our kids with their bio family and case managers .it was 6 hours long and no agreement had been made yet . My husband got up and went outside with the bio dad for a few mins to have a breather and came back in and bio dad agreed to everything finally . My husband saved the day !
A random/interesting fact about you
I am an extrovert and talk to everyone and anyone . At least once a week a stranger will open up to me and tell me about their lives .
3 words to describe yourself

Where do you hope to see FoU in 2 year's time
My dream is to have a small office with a massive warehouse filled to the brim with items for all foster families and children in care and they can come in and take whatever they need .
I want to have big Eid parties for all the Muslim kids in care and their families and have many events that support and bring joy to kids in care ❤️
