Why you wanted to be a part of FoU

I have a passion to support our teens in care as I feel like they are left behind. They’re forced to grow up at such a young age and expected to be adults at 18 with so much trauma behind them. I want to see kids leave care into adulthood with confidence that they can battle any trial they’re up against

A unique story you can share about foster care

I’ve attended court with a young girl in care and watched her argue the defence lawyer like a pro and make him stutter his words.

I didn’t do well in school, didn’t go to uni but still landed my dream jobs 

​

Where do you hope to see FoU in 2 year's time

I hope fostering our ummah can be recognised nation wide as the number 1 space for Muslim foster care
